988
(1;800;273;TALK)
988 is an exhibition surrounding mental health and suicide awareness. 988 was designed with two central questions: how can we use art as a coping mechanism? And how do we carry on? I must emphasize that 988 is NOT a guide to self-harm. 988 is meant to confirm that YOU are not alone in this world.
Living in the GAP
Living in the GAP is a collection of multimedia works engaging with my attempt to live in a state of Growth Aspirational Presence (the GAP). Living in the GAP is a continuation of my previous exhibition, "988 (1;800;273;TALK)," which centered themes of depression and mental health advocacy. While 988 was more invested in using art as a therapeutic tool while Living in the GAP heavily engages the question of continuance.
Ego Death
"Ego Death: (Un)Learning How to Live, Love, Laugh" was my written capstone thesis for my bachelor's degree in Art at Princeton University. "Ego Death" is a diaristic thesis tracking the process and thoughts behind "988" and "Living in the GAP." "Ego Death" includes seven distinct entries, six poems (some edited and some raw), and a full inventory of body of works that comprise "988" and "Living in the GAP."
